About Obedience Training Classes
Whether you hope to show your dog in breed or obedience, or just have a better relationship with your canine family member, every dog and family can benefit from being mannerly and manageable. EVERY dog is trainable, although some may be more challenging than others. Know your breed and know your dog to get the most out of your obedience experience. And be open to the ideas of your instructor!
Obedience: Although BKC currently does not offer obedience classes, there are several obedience training classes in the Greater Birmingham Area. Click here for a list of AKC member club obedience classes in Alabama.
Typically, training classes are also listed in phone books and veterinarian offices. It is strongly recommended that you check the credentials of any potential trainer or school. And remember, inflicting pain on your dog is not a necessary part of obedience training!!
